NdYAG long pulsed laser hair removal may be suggested as a preventive measure.

CO2 laser vaporisation does not appear to present any benefits in comparison with surgery.

Some experts consider CO2 vaporization in case of multiple lesions not in skin folds, the trunk or residual scars as an alternative to surgery.
