Context

The Centre of Evidence and the Atopic Eczema Research Group of the French Society of Dermatology have developed evidence-based guidelines for the management of atopic dermatitis.

The objective of this work was to summarise and update the existing European recommendations (produced by the European Dermatology Forum) and to adapt them to the French healthcare context in order to enhance their practical implementation.

These guidelines include a user-friendly algorithm designed for routine clinical practice and address the management of atopic dermatitis in both adults and children.

The professionals concerned are healthcare providers involved in the care of adults and children with atopic dermatitis, in particular dermatologists, allergists-immunologists, paediatricians, general practitioners, pharmacists, occupational physicians, and nurses.

The guidelines were presented at the 2024 Journées Dermatologiques de Paris national congress. This work was also published in the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and a full publication is forthcoming in Annales de Dermatologie et de Vénéréologie – FMC.
